'Evil'

Where is the fine line between a gentleman...and a scam artist?
Between innocence...and insanity?
Between love...and lust?

The humans who inhabit this planet cause and create the evils that taint this world constantly on a daily basis, and seem to do so without noticing their wrong-doings. Now, there are those who can clearly see the evil that has encroached upon this Earth; however, they only see certain wrong-doings. And while they pinpoint these specific corruptions, the other dark and vile sins are unattended to. And when not seen and dealt with, a small, seemingly-harmless incident can grow into a disaster, and that disaster will breed chaos and disarray, which will further plunge our 'peaceful' planet into spiraling turmoil and madness.

We humans usually focus on larger issues first, those being portrayed by the biblical Four Horsemen: War, Famine, Pestilence, and Death.
Now, while those four are awfully destructive, they are not the incidents that cause us the most harm.

No, that which causes us the most harm are the smaller, less important evils within this world; the conman who cheats a woman out of her money and her daughter's love as a means of skipping town? The serial killer who slaughters a family within the woods for his own personal entertainment? The heartless students whom torture and torment an innocent classmate to the point of not only murderous insanity, but that poor student's own death? Or perhaps the dirty politician who resorts to cheap and sleazy tactics to win another term of presidency?

There is much evil within this world; it is our job to deal with not only the large issues, but also the small ones as well.
It is not only your home, but ours as well; see to it that it is not led to an early demise.

I do not wish for forgiveness.

Every Sunday, as I a seated upon one of the numerous pews, I am told how "evil" and "vile" you were. But none of those cruel words are true, are they? In truth, you were just another follower, another peon that had the unfairness of fate forced upon you. You were nothing more than a child that had not been taught the simple workings of 'cause and effect,' and suffered greatly because of it. You disobeyed 'His' wishes and commands, and because of such foolish actions, you Fell; forced out of your one and only home for such a simple mistake. And now, because of your inability to follow commands and attend to 'His' every beck and call, because of your childishness....because of your free will, you are forever stuck upon this world, never again welcome into the Heavens.

Did you cry when you realized your mistake? Did you feel guilt when the reality of it all sunk in? Did you pray and beg for forgiveness, only to be given a cold shoulder and forgotten in a heartbeat? Did you tempt them from the Garden as an act of revenge...or as a way of gaining your Father's attention?

Why, oh why, sweet Morning Star, did you have such cruel treatment bestowed upon you? Why, dear Fallen Angel, must you suffer at the hands of an unforgiving and harsh Fate? Why, poor Lucifer, were you not given a second chance?

Why are we, humans, allowed to sin and destroy to our heart's content, and will receive the Lord's love and forgiveness without a second thought, but the First was cast away so heartlessly?

Give me not your praise nor your love, my Lord, my Father, my Creator, as I do not wish for it.
Truly, I will only seek your compassion and purity when all mistakes have been corrected; when all errors have been righted; when all broken and dirtied souls have been mended and cleansed.

Play me the sweetest and saddest of melodies, lost Angel.
For no matter what the preacher and church-goers may think or feel towards you...
I will always keep you in my prayers.

Very nervous am I, at this moment, as I am able to gaze upon him in this light.

I have begun to ponder recently, and have been faced with many a shocking thought as my crazed mind forces me to envision him so...so perfectly. Truly, he has always been this stunning in my eyes, but my brain has eluded me, forced me to think otherwise as a means of protecting myself; though I might not have, my mind knew better than to trust those around me. For too long I had been played for a fool, and had been brought to my knees in tears many times because of my idiocy. For much too long, I had unwisely trusted the people who surrounded me, who called themselves my "companions," and had paid the price countlessly because of it.

But he...he was different.

He was what I longed for, what I had spent so many of my years endlessly seeking out; he was the light within my darkness, the icing upon my cake, the sun on my cloudy day. He was gentle; as gentle as a soft, spring rain upon a grassy field. He was sweet; as sweet as a timid brush of lips between newly-bonded lovers. He was dear to me; as dear to me as the very soul that was housed in the shell of my body was.

Yes; I knew, deep within myself that, despite my doubting mind, that I could trust him.

Because he was not only perfection.
But he was also mine; all mine.
